Nano
Ever wonder how clear sunscreens were developed or why new LCD displays are very rich in color compared to the ones in the past?
Enter the world of nano technology. Many materials exhibit totally different characteristics when they are nanometer size. White UV block material becomes transparent when they are nanometer size while maintaining UV blocking ability.
Organic and inorganic pigments become deeper in color, with less unwanted scattering of light. These nano-sized pigments are used in inkjet printers and LCD displays providing deep and rich colors.
Kotobuki Industry Co. LTD. developed Ultra Apex Mill (UAM) to provide a cost effective way of manufacturing nano particles by dispersing particles to nano sized primary particles.
To achieve such results, the UAM series mills utilize bead media as small as 15 microns. Research has shown that smaller beads achieve more efficient dispersing, resulting in smaller particle sizes than conventional methods.
Large UAM series equipment can provide trouble free dispersion for large-scale production of nano particles.
Items produced with the UAM series are in products we use daily, such as microelectronics in cell phones, LCD displays and High Definition TVs.
