Blu-ray Lapis
MTSA's second generation Blu-ray BD 50 replication line sets a new standard in the manufacturing of Blu-ray discs. Like it's predecessor, the "Azul" replication line, Lapis utilizes a stable 2p process for replicating dual layer discs.
Unlike the conventional metal embossing technique, the 2p process enables stable production without the threat of degradation of signal quality as the metal stamper’s surface condition changes.

The MTSA Lapis line's heart is Origin's replication system, with two Sumitomo injection molding units, two Shibaura Sputtering machines, Oerlikon backside coating sputtering machine, and the Dr. Schwab inspection machine.
All of these manufacturers and MTSA worked hand-in-hand to develop this highly polished manufacturing machine. Since all development for the line is complete, a replicator can manufacture Blu-ray discs with the same kind of ease as DVD production.
